A PERSPECTIVE ON COACHING AND ITS INTEGRATION INTO THE ANTHROPOLOGICAL CONTEXT OF SPORT COMPETITION. CASE STUDY: ROMANIAN 3ᴿᴰ LEAGUE, FOOTBALL

    Get PDF
The Romanian 3rd Football League is a socio-cultural universe of its own. The large number of participants (teams, players, technical-administrative staff, supporters, etc.), the fact that it takes place in a predominantly rural or small-town setting and its heterogeneous nature give it a specific diversity. Being a coach in this environment is a challenge. Merayo (2021) believes that the coach has to be part of the team, the club and the culture they are part of. However, in Romania’s 3rd league, coaching can be considered a veritable art, with circumstances not found in any other sporting context. Coaches change very often, are caught between the same teams, having to radically change their perspective on a team, a player or a context in an extremely short time. Microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem and macrosystem are part of a model proposed by Bronfenbrenner (1976, 1987), and still considered relevant in the sport context by Merayo (2021). We also identify this in the 3rd league. The third league coach spends his whole life caught between these systemic units. And yet the whole coaching process must be seen as part of a competition with strong anthropological valences. So, is it the specific culture of third league football that is best developed in rural or small-town environments, or does the environment of these towns generate the culture of the third league and is it, in fact, a culture of theirs translated into football? The role of professional accountants is becoming increasingly important to the organization as it is in a unique position at the intersection of all departments and areas of activity, and has the ability and authority to set standards, develop models and generate information reportedly, bringing the organization into line with the principles of sustainable development. Accounting research has begun to focus increasingly on practices developed by professional accountants with a view to the sustainable development of companies. Some institutions have already outlined implementation frameworks and recommendations that adapt and improve international reporting standards, adjust the classical vision of accounting reporting by integrating social and environmental information into company financial reports. The main objective of this research is to highlight the importance of the accounting profession's role in achieving the sustainable development goals at national level. Thus, for this present paper we will rely on a documentary research carried out by the study of national and international legislation in the field of sustainable development and on an applied research to analyze the implications of professional accountants in implementing the sustainable development objectives

PurposeThe Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) scale, which is widely used and highly recommended, is an appropriate tool for evaluating poststroke sensorimotor and other possible somatic deficits. It is also well-suited for capturing a dynamic rehabilitation process. The aim of this study was to first translate the entire sensorimotor FMA scale into Romanian using the transcultural and semantic-linguistic adaptations of its official afferent protocols and to then validate it using the preliminary clinical evaluation of inter- and intra-rater reliability and relevant concurrent validity.MethodsThrough three main steps, we completed a standardized procedure for translating FMA's official afferent evaluation protocols into Romanian and their transcultural and semantic-linguistic adaptation for both the upper and lower extremities. For relevant clinical validation, we evaluated 10 patients after a stroke two times: on days 1 and 2. All patients were evaluated simultaneously by two kinesi-physiotherapists (generically referred to as KFT1 and KFT2) over the course of 2 consecutive days, taking turns in the roles of an examiner and observer, and vice versa (inter-rater). Two scores were therefore obtained and compared for the same patient, i.e., being afferent to an inter-rater assay by comparing the assessment outcomes obtained by the two kinesi-physiotherapists, in between, and respectively, to the intra-rater assay: based on the evaluations of the same kinesi-physiotherapist, in two consecutive days, using a rank-based method (Svensson) for statistical analysis. We also compared our final Romanian version of FMA's official protocols for concurrent validity (Spearman's rank correlation statistical method) to both of the widely available assessment instruments: the Barthel Index (BI) and the modified Rankin scale (mRS).ResultsSvensson's method confirmed overall good inter- and intra-rater results for the main parts of the final Romanian version of FMA's evaluation protocols, regarding the percentage of agreement (≥80% on average) and for disagreement: relative position [RP; values outside the interval of (−0.1, 0.1) in only two measurements out of the 56 comparisons we did], relative concentration [RC; values outside the interval of (−0.1, 0.1) in only nine measurements out of the same 56 comparisons done], and relative rank variation [RV; all values within an interval of (0, 0.1) in only five measurements out of the 56 comparisons done]. High correlation values were obtained between the final Romanian version of FMA's evaluation protocols and the BI (ρ = 0.9167; p = 0.0002) for FMA–upper extremity (FMA-UE) total A-D (motor function) with ρ = 0.6319 and for FMA-lower extremity (FMA-LE) total E-F (motor function) with p = 0.0499, and close to the limit, with the mRS (ρ = −0.5937; p = 0.0704) for FMA-UE total A-D (motor function) and (ρ = −0.6615; p = 0.0372) for FMA-LE total E-F (motor function).ConclusionsThe final Romanian version of FMA's official evaluation protocols showed good preliminary reliability and validity, which could be thus recommended for use and expected to help improve the standardization of this assessment scale for patients after a stroke in Romania. Furthermore, this endeavor could be added to similar international translation and cross-cultural adaptations, thereby facilitating a more appropriate comparison of the evaluation and outcomes in the management of stroke worldwide

<div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="section"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p><span>In this paper the authors perform an exten- sive analysis of the housing situation in Romania in relation to other EU countries. The following indicators, and others, are examined: the number of dwellings per 1000 inhabitants, the average number of rooms per dwelling, overcrowding, the degradation rate of housing, the rate of util- ities. The type of ownership of the buildings is also analyzed. The implications of the fact that Romania has one of the highest percentages of private homes in Europe are also discussed. In order to highlight these issues and others (which have been the subject of the authors’ previous studies), in the present work, the dynamics of housing construction in Romania are studied over a long period – namely the period between 1950-2011 – with the aim of highlighting the pres- ent position of Romania compared to other EU countries in terms of housing. The analysis leads to the conclusion that on most housing indicators Romania occupies lower ranks compared to oth- er EU countries. </span></p></div></div></div></div

Considerations related to housing and seismic risk

    No full text
The paper aims to present the main problems related to the seismic risk and housing in urban settlements in Romania, with special focus on Bucharest, which is the most exposed city. The paper emphasizes the framework related to evolution of technical regulations and seismic safety of residential buildings, highlighting the main dysfunctions in the National Program for Seismic Retrofitting. At the same time, because the collapse of a single residential building may have major negative effects on the surrounding area (buildings, streets, utilities etc.), the paper is proposing a methodology for evaluation of damages which may appear in such a case. The article is also suggesting several solutions for improving the design and expertise process and also for the seismic retrofitting of vulnerable buildings, especially housing
